RunFos PEPQ is a phosphorus-based, highly efficient secondary antioxidant that effectively prevents thermal oxidative degradation of polymers and yellowing during thermal melting processes. It functions by reacting with hydroperoxides, thereby inhibiting the initiation of degradation processes and enhancing the performance of primary antioxidants.

Applications
  • Polyolefins and Their Copolymers:

    PEPQ can be used in polyethylene (such as HDPE and LLDPE), polypropylene, polybutene, and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers.

  • Polycarbonate and Polyphenylene Ether:

    PEPQ performs exceptionally well in polycarbonate and polyphenylene ether, effectively preventing thermal oxidative degradation and yellowing during thermal melting processes.

  • Polyesters:

    Suitable for polyesters, including styrene homopolymers and copolymers.

  • Other Plastics:

    It can be applied to polyamides, polyphenylene sulfide, polystyrene, polypropylene, and ABS resins.

  • Adhesives and Tackifiers:

    Used in adhesives and natural or synthetic tackifiers.

  • Elastomers:

    Applicable to elastomers such as BR (butadiene rubber), SEBS (styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene), and SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene).
