Features
Its unique molecular structure rapidly forms a protective iron sulfide film on metal surfaces. It is widely used in the formulation of gear oils, hydraulic oils, and lubricating greases. This additive is non-corrosive to copper and other non-ferrous metals, is ashless, and exhibits synergistic effects when combined with additives such as ZDDP and sulfonates.
Applications
Serves as a primary extreme pressure agent in GL-5 vehicle gear oils and heavy-duty industrial gear oils, enhancing resistance to micropitting and fatigue. Complies with standards such as API GL-5 and ISO 12925.
Reduces tool wear in cutting oils and drawing oils, improving surface finish of machined parts. Enhances extreme pressure performance in lubricating greases (e.g., complex lithium-based greases), making them suitable for high-friction components like bearings and guides.
